People living in the area have complained of strong chemical smells, and of symptoms including burning eyes and headaches.</p><p>Earlier this month, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources <a href="http://www.dnr.mo.gov/env/swmp/facilities/bridgetonsanitarylandfill-dnr.htm">tested the air there for toxic chemicals</a>.
