High fashion design isn't restricted to New York and L.A. In fact, one St. Louis designer is so hot, her sweaters make up much of the wardrobe in one of this spring's blockbuster releases - "The Matrix: Reloaded." KWMU's Hillary Wicai prepared this report.
Washington, DC – The newest Fortune 500 list includes a dozen Missouri-based companies. The list will be in the Fortune magazine's April 14th issue.
St. Louis-based Emerson Electric is the largest publicly-held Missouri company, ranking 138th. Anheuser-Busch, May Department Stores, Express Scripts are not far behind, ranking 142nd and 144th and 147th.
The editors of Fortune magazine have compiled the list of the largest publicly held companies annually since 1955.
The other Missouri companies on the list are as follows:
St. Louis, Mo. – Thousands of people turned out at Forest Park in St. Louis Sunday to protest the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and to rally support for the safe return of the troops.
They converged on the park in droves with an array of anti-war banners. Courtney McDermott's sign read "Draft the Twins," a reference to President Bush's twin daughters. "I think if he had his own daughters over there that perhaps he would think better about this," she said.
