Jefferson City, Mo. – Missouri State Senators will not get reimbursed for out-of-state travel for the next year.
A committee yesterday approved the moratorium, which is expected to save about $80,000. Supporters say it's a small step to help the state face a budget shortfall. Senators will still get paid for in-state trips.
St. Louis, MO – A St. Louis County school bus driver is facing charges after a call from a concerned citizen alerted police to the erratically-driven bus.
St. John police say 26-year-old bus driver Jermain Sims had a bag of marijuana on him as he drove seven children to school this morning. Sims was also wanted on an outstanding drug warrant, and was charged with speeding.
