St. Louis, MO – Greg Freeman, host of KWMU's "St. Louis on the Air" and a columnist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, has died.
A native St. Louisan, Freeman began his reporting career at the St. Louis American. He started working at the Post Dispatch in 1980 and joined KWMU as the host of "St. Louis On the Air" in 1999.
He received many awards for his journalism including an Emmy for his show "Mosaic with Greg Freeman" which aired on KETC-TV and a 2002 A.I.R. award for Best Public Affairs Program for "St. Louis On the Air."
