Social media continues to shape the way people communicate and go about life.

A new production by HotCity Theatre called “Connected” focuses on the contemporary subject of social media (Twitter, Facebook, interactive gaming, etc.) and why, despite constant connectivity, many people still feel so alone.

Host Steve Potter talked with playwright Lia Romeo, director Chuck Harper and Caitlin Mickey, who plays the roles of Meghan, Sarah and Sharon.

The Missouri Veterans History Project is a not-for-profit organization which seeks to capture the oral history of as many Missouri veterans as possible.

According to the group’s website, “Our nation’s veterans each have a unique perspective to share about our history. First-hand recollections of their service provide a richer and more personal context to historical accounts.”

The University of Missouri – St. Louis kicks off its Golden Jubilee year with a celebration on February 1.  Chancellor Tom George was Don Marsh’s guest on “St. Louis on the Air” to reflect on the university’s growth in its first half-century as well as to discuss trends and challenges in higher education.

New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Chiaverini is the author of a new book about Elizabeth Keckley.  She writes about Keckley moving from St. Louis to Washington D.C. and becoming First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln’s personal dressmaker.
