Kelsey Proud is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, where she earned a Convergence (Multimedia) Journalism degree. She has worked at PBS Interactive in Washington, D.C., MSN UK News in London and is a social media enthusiast. Kelsey feels journalism is truly a public service and hopes her work enhances community and reaches those who need information most.  Though she's "from" Chicago, Kelsey has also lived in several different regions of the United States, including periods of time in North Carolina, Ohio, New Mexico and Illinois. Her extended family has roots in Boone and Audrain counties in Missouri, too. She is a wannabe chef and globe trekker, former competitive golfer and band-ie (trumpet), and honorary Missourian.

Mo. Supreme Court cases from 1800s to go on Web

The Missouri State Archives will be posting thousands of old state Supreme Court cases online for the public to view beginning late next year.

The Secretary of State's office says the State Archives has received a grant of more than $148,000 from the federal government for the project.

Missouri's U.S. Senators have sent a joint letter to President Obama urging the president to grant Governor Jay Nixon's request to declare 64 Missouri counties federal disaster areas after this winter's heavy snowfall.

Mo. House approves tax amnesty legislation

Updating you on a story about the first vote yesterday, the Missouri House has, with their second vote today, approved legislation to allow for a tax amnesty period.

Delinquent Missouri taxpayers would get a chance to pay off their debts without owing penalties or interest under the legislation.
