Abram Building Decision Could Come Friday

By Matt Sepic, KWMU

St. Louis, MO – The federal government could decide tomorrow (Friday) whether the Abram Building should be given to the Rev. Larry Rice.

Rice wants to make the building a homeless shelter.

But city officials want the building razed so a parking lot can be built for a renovated Kiel Opera House. Without the lot, the Opera House project will not happen.

KWMU's Matt Sepic reported this story for NPR's Morning Edition. To hear the report, click here.
