WASHINGTON, Mo. –
An aerospace manufacturer is expanding in eastern Missouri with the aid of about $3.3 million in state incentives.
Gov. Jay Nixon attended a groundbreaking Monday for a new facility for Valent Aerostructures in Washington, Mo. He says the new plant will help keep 120 jobs in Missouri and could lead to 100 additional jobs over the next three years.
Valent Aerostructures supplies parts for other airplane and defense manufacturers. It currently employs people at plants in Warren and St. Louis counties. Those positions will be moved to the new plant in Franklin County.
