St. Louis, MO – Missouri Governor Bob Holden confirms he has lost political support from the nation's largest brewer, Anheuser-Busch.
Holden says company officials didn't want him to veto the concealed guns legislation that later became law anyway; he's no longer getting donations from them.
A possible challenger for Holden's job next year, fellow Democrat Claire McCaskill, says Anheuser-Busch is now supporting her and has giving her campaign money.
McCaskill, who is state auditor, says she met with officials from the brewery giant two weeks ago. But she says the topic of concealed guns never came up. Instead, she talked with A-B officials about strong leadership and a positive business environment.
