Anheuser-Busch Has Another Record Year

By AP/KWMU

St. Louis, MO – Anheuser-Busch followed up its record sales from 2002 with even more sales in 2003.

The St. Louis-based brewer sold 102.6 million barrels of beer last year; that's up 0.8% from the year before. The company, which is the world's largest brewer, credits the success of its low-carb Michelob Ultra as well as improved sales of Bud Light.

Anheuser-Busch also affirms its projection that earnings per share for 2003 would grow 12-13%. And it targets earnings-per-share growth this year to be 12%.

The company is to announce its earnings for the fourth quarter and full-year 2003 on February 4.
