The former head of the Missouri Republican Party became an ambassador on Monday. Ann Wagner was sworn in as U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg.
Wagner has helped oversee major GOP wins as party chair in the past five years. Republicans last year won control the executive and legislative branches of state government for the first time in decades.
And Wagner told KWMU's Tom Weber that, based on her experience with Republicans, Democrats looking to win back those seats should not expect a fast process.
