St. Louis, MO – Officials at the city of St. Louis' medium security jail say a man was mistakenly freed yesterday.
Jerome Jones, Jr. was released from the city's so-called workhouse, where he faced kidnapping and burglary charges. Jones' father was the one who should have gone free. The younger Jones was taken back into custody about five hours later.
It's the latest in a series of mix-ups that last month prompted the Mayor to change management at the jail.
