Some police departments are taking proactive measures to better protect themselves and their communities. In St. Louis, chief Joe Mokwa recently mandated that all patrol officers wear body armor when on duty. KWMU's Kevin Lavery reports on what other area departments are doing in response to the phenomenon of crimes involving semi-automatic rifles.
