St. Louis, MO – After touring Boeing's F/A-18 Super Hornet production facility, Mr. Bush told employees that technological power like the Super Hornet helped end a brutal regime in Iraq.
The quality of the workmanship that goes into the aircrafts that you build here is one of the main reasons why we were successful in making the world a more peaceful place," the president said. "Our nation thanks you for your efforts and your work.
The president said the US supports efforts by the Iraqi people to build their own democracy.
He also repeated his call for Congress to approve a $550-billion economic stimulus package.
