St. Louis, MO –

Meriwether Lewis and William Clark started up the Missouri River 200 years ago on a two-year journey to the West.

In mid-May, costumed actors will set sail from the confluence of the Big Rivers in a replica keelboat that will stop in towns across Missouri.

But ahead of the crew will be some 300 people who'll spend eight weeks scouring the banks of the Missouri picking up trash. KWMUs Kevin Lavery reports on the latest effort to keep the river clean.
