A Conversation With Mo. U.S. Senate Candidate Claire McCaskill

Nov 5, 2012

The race for U.S. Senate in Missouri between Democratic incumbent Senator Claire McCaskill and Republican Congressman Todd Akin is close and has garnered national attention.

Recent polling data shows Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney leads in Missouri, as does McCaskill over Akin, by a slim margin.

McCaskill has touted the National Journal’s middle-of-the-road ranking of her as the 50th most liberal and 50th most conservative senator.  If the polls prove correct, she will rely on some voters to split their ticket, voting for a Republican at the top and for McCaskill on the second line.

Host Don Marsh talked with Claire McCaskill on Wednesday, October 31st about some of the important issues, the campaign, and her opponent, Todd Akin.
