Clayton, MO – The St. Louis County Council last night agreed to lend St. Louis city $45 million to help build a new stadium downtown.
The council must still approve the actual terms for the loan and the sale of bonds to raise the money. If those two steps happen, all the public funding needed to replace Busch Stadium would be in place. Organizers still need to find private funding.
