East St. Louis, IL – East St. Louis Mayor Debra Powell says she'll take a decision by the city's election board to court.
The board this week removed the mayor from the February primary ballot on a technicality.
Powell says she believes the board's action was politically motivated and feels she'll get back on the ballot.
Powell, and three City Council candidates, filed economic impact statements with the election board, but not with the St. Clair County Clerk, as required.
