Jefferson City, Mo. – The Missouri Ethics Commission has reviewed and closed separate ethics complaints filed against Bob Holden and Claire McCaskill's campaigns for governor.

McCaskill supporters claimed Holden's campaign sidestepped contribution limits by encouraging donors to give to political committees. Those committees would then pass it on to Holden's campaign.

Holden's campaign said that the money McCaskill loaned to her campaign should count as a contribution subject to state limits.

Today, the commission said it found no wrongdoing on either side.

The commission said Holden did not violate contribution limits.

Commissioners also recommended that McCaskill say when she would repay her loans.
