In the aftermath of the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown, attention has turned to Ferguson. Below are some events that are tied to the issues raised or that are centered in that community.

Town Hall Meeting Addressing Communication to/from Ferguson Leadership

Above & Beyond College Readiness Program

When: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Oct. 4 

Where: Ferguson Municipal Public Library, 35 N. Florissant Rd., Ferguson 63135

About: This program is free and open to children ages 10 and up in the Ferguson-Florissant area. It is designed to help children learn what resources are available to them as college applicants, and will help them through the actual application process. Some programming for parents will available until 12:00 p.m.

About: Come join other area teens in a discussion about what the Ferguson library could do for you. Form a Teen Council and help the library decide what kind of teen programing will be most beneficial to the youth in the community.
