St. Louis, Mo. – Fair St. Louis will not move to Memorial Day weekend as had been previously announced.

Rich Meyers, The Fair's executive director said attendance at this year's Fair over the 4th of July weekend convinced organizers that it should remain part of St. Louis' Independence Day celebration.

A lot of people have commented about the heat and the last few years have been very, very warm and we thought we'd have more attendance if we shifted to a weekend when the weather would be cooler," Meyers said. "But after seeing attendance this year I think the secret is we just have to have a dynamite program and people will come to the fair.

Fair St. Louis has a 23-year history in St. Louis and has become the largest three day Fourth of July festival in the
US.
