St. Louis, MO – The FBI is reaching out to the public in a 19-year old cold case involving a missing Lincoln County boy.
Charles "Arlin" Henderson of Moscow Mills went missing in July of 1991.
Two and a half months later officials found the bike that Henderson had been riding.
FBI Special Agent Billy Cox showed the bike to the media on Tuesday in hopes that it might compel someone with information to come forward.
"We believe the there is someone out there in the area that could lead us to Arlin's whereabouts and what happened to him," said Cox. "We're hoping today that for whatever reason these people have been holding on to this information for 19 year, the information will cause them to come forward."
Henderson's mom, Debbie Griffith says it hard to see the bike that belonged to her son so many years ago, but she still believes someone may know what happened to him.
"None of us are getting any younger and I'd sure like to know what happened to my son before I die," said Griffith. "I'd like to see him smile again and if he's dead I'd like to bury him and be at peace."
Cox would not comment on whether or not they had any new leads. He says the FBI has no indication that Henderson's disappearance was connected to convicted child molester and kidnapper Michael Devlin.
