St. Louis, MO – Some visitors were evacuated at the Gateway Arch in St. Louis today because of a noontime fire at a transformer on the Arch grounds.
Thick black smoke could be seen downtown from the fire. No injuries were reported. Officials at the National Park Service, which operates the Arch, say visitors in the south leg of the Arch were evacuated.
