Flags lowered to honor Air Force lieutenant killed in Afghanistan

St. Louis – Flags will be flown at half-staff today at all Missouri state buildings.

Gov. Jay Nixon ordered the lowered flags to honor Air Force Lt. Roslyn Schulte, a Ladue woman who was killed while on duty near Kabul, Afghanistan.

A memorial service for Schulte is scheduled for Monday.

She was a 2006 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy.

Nixon also ordered flags flown at half-staff at state buildings in St. Louis
County through the end of the month.
