Game six of the World Series postponed because of inclement weather
A rainy weather forecast means another day off for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers.
Major League Baseball has postponed Game 6 of the World Series "due to inclement weather and forecast for rainfall throughout remainder of today." The league's public relations Twitter account said officials with the Rangers, Cardinals and Major League Baseball "agreed [that a] game of this magnitude should be played without interruption" and that the weather looked better on Thursday and Friday nights.
Game 6 is now scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27. Tickets from tonight's game will be honored. If necessary, a Game 7 would be the same time on Friday.
The Rangers lead the best-of-seven series 3 games to 2. Jaime Garcia was scheduled to start tonight against Colby Harris of the Rangers - no word on how the extra day off will affect the rotation of either team.
