St. Louis, Mo. – The movie "The Game of their Lives" has wrapped in St. Louis. Cast and crew spent more than a month in the city shooting scenes for the film, which tells the story of the 1950 US World Cup soccer team.

Several team members were from St. Louis, including Frank Borghi. He and the others helped serve as consultants to the actors portraying them.

"I think it's been great. They've really done a lot for St. Louis and the Hill area, which I'm a part of. I really enjoyed it, it's been a thrill for me," Borghi said.

Many of the scenes were filmed on the Hill. Director David Anspaugh thanked the Hill's residents.

"(Thanks) for their kindness, their generosity, certainly their patience and most importantly for bringing to this film the authenticity that we could not have found anywhere else in America," Anspaugh said.

The final scenes will be shot in Brazil, where the US team upset England in the World Cup, 1-0.

The film will be released in the fall of 2004.
