Hermann, MO – A new tractor and refrigerator might not seem the loftiest of goals for the Missouri couple who won half the $261 million Powerball jackpot. But Hermann residents William and Claudia Walkenbach say their new status as multi millionaires hasn't sunk in yet.
The east-central Missouri couple can take the money either as 30 annual installments of around $4 million, or a lump-sum payment of about $74 million dollars.
The couple bought the ticket Wednesday at the Hermann Fuel Mart. The other winner lives in Pennsylvania.
Claudia is a substitute teacher in the Gasconade County School District. Bill's a production supervisor at JDX company.
The Walkenbach's also plan to share some of their new wealth with their two grown sons.
