HIV Testing Goes Mobile

St. Louis, MO –

Health officials in St. Louis are fighting a war against disease. The region is experiencing a steady rise in the number of new cases of HIV infection.

Some groups are stepping up outreach programs to identify new HIV patients. Others are working on enhanced medical therapies with the hope of creating a new vaccine to eradicate the disease.

In the second of two reports, KWMU's Kevin Lavery takes a look at HIV and AIDS testing, treatment and research in the St. Louis area.
