Jefferson City, MO – Republican Matt Blunt raised more money this summer than his two possible Democratic opponents in next year's race for Missouri Governor.
The Secretary of State took in nearly $514,000 from July through September; that's more than Governor Bob Holden or Auditor Claire McCaskill raised. But Holden still has the most money on hand, about $2.3 million. McCaskill and Blunt each have around $1.3 million.
McCaskill likely will challenge Holden in the Democratic primary. She reports raising around $414,500, nearly $130,000 of that from a personal loan.
