Springfield, IL – More budget cuts might be on the way in Illinois.
Governor George Ryan has ordered his state agencies to come up with a list of more programs and job cuts that could be made if necessary.
The cuts would not need General Assembly approval, and could total $250 million. The cuts would address an immediate budget shortfall, but not an expected $2 billion budget hole experts predict for next year.
