East St. Louis, IL – A Kentucky company says it plans to build a $54 million energy plant in East St. Louis.
The coal-fired plant would bring 25 news jobs to the city. East St. Louis City Council members tentatively agreed last week to earmark more than $2 million in tax-increment financing funds for the plant, which would be built near the city's border with Sauget.
