L.A. Man Sentenced in St. Louis for Threatening Bush

By AP/KWMU

St. Louis, MO – A federal judge in St. Louis Thursday sentenced a Los Angeles man to 14 months in prison for threatening to kill President Bush.

Eugene Lewis was en route to Washington D.C. last July when he stopped and made the threatening call in St. Louis.

Lewis pleaded guilty in February to a felony count of threatening a president's life. He still faces three identical counts, which accuse him of threatening to kill Bush on separate occasions earlier last year.

Lewis later repeated his threats against Bush to Secret Service agents. Authorities say he never got close to the President to carry out any threat.
