Man accused in sex-slave case facing gun charges

By AP/St. Louis Public Radio

ST. LOUIS – A suburban St. Louis man already among five men accused of torturing and mutilating a young Missouri woman who authorities say was a sex slave now faces charges that he illegally possessed a cache of guns.

Federal grand jurors in St. Louis indicted 32-two-year-old Bradley Cook of Kirkwood on Thursday on a felony charge that he unlawfully transported firearms.

Authorities say that a year ago, Cook was found to be in possession of everything from a Czech-made rifle to shotguns and pistols.

Cook already faces federal charges in Kansas City that he took part in the sexual assault and torture of a runaway teenage girl at a co-defendant's home in Lebanon, Mo.

Cook has pleaded not guilty to conspiracy, sex trafficking, racketeering and weapons charges in that case.
