St. Louis, MO – Authorities in Missouri say the search for a man charged in a drive-by shooting that killed a 12-year-old Illinois boy has ended peacefully with the man's surrender. Investigators say 27-year-old Marcus Powell is in custody.
Prosecutors in Madison County, Illinois, today charged Powell with two first-degree murder counts in the death of Delarrian Davis of Madison, Illinois. Investigators say Davis apparently was doing school work in his home when he was shot by someone who fired into the house
At least four schools near the manhunt area are closed for the day, while a half dozen schools run by the Archdiocese of St. Louis were place under lockdown while Powell was saught.
