St. Louis – Health insurance will be the focus of a series of public forums Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill is holding around Missouri this week.

Similar events by members of Congress have been met by angry crowds, speakers being shouted down, and some arrests.

McCaskill said she welcomes criticism, as long as it's respectful.

"I hope everyone's polite and lets everyone talk and realizes when you shout out and call people names and call people liars, there's no room for that in Missouri," McCaskill said. "We're more polite than that. I'm just looking for basic common consideration and I think it will be great. I'm looking forward to it."

McCaskill will hold forums in three southeast Missouri communities Monday. She'll have another in Hillsboro Tuesday.

An event that was to be held in University City was canceled after the school district withdrew its permission to hold the forum there.
