St. Louis – As Missouri lawmakers work on the budget this year, they have the additional duty of figuring out how to spend more than $4 billion in federal stimulus money.
Not surprisingly Democrats and Republicans have very different ideas on how to do that.
We turned to two Washington University economics professors to get their thoughts on the best way to use the money.
We heard from Professor Steve Fazzari Thursday. Today we'll hear from Michele Boldrin, the chairman of the economics department.
As KWMU's Maria Altman learned, Boldrin was among more than 200 economists that took out a full-page ad in The New York Times questioning the wisdom of the federal stimulus.
