Jefferson City, MO – Missouri's budget shortfall turns out be
even bigger than first thought.

State budget director Linda Luebbering says state revenues fell $47 million short of what was budgeted in January -- not
$24 million as she originally reported.

Luebbering attributes the difference to a simple typo in the state's figures.

The larger monthly shortfall means the state still needs to find somewhere around $300 million to balance the budget for
the fiscal year ending June 30th.
