By AP/St. Louis Public Radio

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. –

Missouri Senate candidates Roy Blunt and Robin Carnahan have agreed to debate next month at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The Missouri Press Association is sponsoring the candidate forum Oct. 15 during its annual convention at the Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake Ozark.

Blunt is a Republican congressman from southwestern Missouri. Carnahan, a Democrat, is Missouri's incumbent secretary of state. They're seeking to replace retiring U.S. Sen. Kit Bond.

Constitution Party candidate Jerry Beck and Libertarian Jonathan Dine also will participate.

Before the Senate forum, Democratic State Auditor Susan Montee and Republican challenger Tom Schweich will debate.
