St. Louis, MO – One person is dead and several others injured after a crash Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 70 near Warrenton.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says at least a dozen vehicles, including two tractor trailers, were involved in the wreck. Sleet and freezing rain have made the roads slick, but the Highway Patrol says it's unclear if weather played a role in the accident.
On the Illinois side, the state Department of Transportation says roads south of Interstate 270 are clear, but conditions begin to get dicey north of there. I-DOT officials say roads in Jersey, Greene and Calhoun counties are nearly covered with ice and snow.
