St. Louis, MO – Daniel Isom is the new Chief of Police of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
The 41-year old Isom is the department's third African-American chief.
He takes over for outgoing Chief Joe Mokwa, who resigned amid a towing company scandal that may have bilked the city for up to $700,000.
The department also faces no shortage of pressing neighborhood crime issues.
KMWU's Adam Allington asked Isom how he plans to address the city's spiking murder rate.
