New Illinois AG to Meet with Gov About Death Penalty
Belleville, Illinois – Illinois' new attorney general says the state should look at using videotaped interrogations and DNA evidence in death penalty cases.
Lisa Madigan plans to meet with Governor Rod Blagojevich next week to discuss the future of the state's capital punishment system.
While in Bellville today, Madigan said she supports capital punishment for heinous crimes, but the system needs major repairs.
