New Tuscumbia bridge brings safety (slideshow)

By David Weinberg, Special to the St. Louis Beacon

TUSCUMBIA, Mo. –

When the stimulus bill passed last year, the first "shovel-ready" project in the country was a new bridge over the Osage river at Tuscumbia, Mo. Some, including St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay, thought it was a bad idea. David Weinberg went to Miller County to see how residents feel about the project and the controversy.
