News site tackles issue of race in St. Louis

St. Louis – The issue of race is the focus of a new year-long series by the on-line media outlet the St. Louis Beacon.

The Beacon's writers and editors are looking at how race affects all facets of business, education, politics and personal relationships in the St. Louis region.

The Missouri History Museum and KETC-Channel 9 are partners in the effort.
Beacon writer Kristen Hare tells KWMU's Bill Raack that the topic was something they've been wanting to explore for a long time.

For more information, visit the Beacon's "Race, Frankly" homepage.
