Novus to host international animal agriculture roundtable

Jun 14, 2011

Close to 30 representatives of the animal agriculture industry are meeting in St. Louis tomorrow to discuss the challenges of feeding the world’s growing population.

The international roundtable is being hosted by St. Charles-based Novus International. Novus produces animal feed additives and nutritional supplements.

Novus Chief Administration and Strategy Officer, Giovanni Gasperoni, says the global agricultural industry needs to confront the sustainability of food production and rising food costs. “So the idea is to bring together key people involved in the food production, from different countries, I believe 15 we have them, and discuss about new technology and the future of the food in the next decade,” Gasperoni said.

The roundtable will include industry representatives from major agricultural countries including the U.S., Brazil, and China.
