St. Louis, MO – The woman shot in the foot on the Pfizer campus in Chesterfield has been charged with filing a false police report.
45-year-old Lori Jefferis of Saint Charles claimed that she was shot in the foot on January 8th when she struggled to get away from an unknown male. She was working for a company doing construction at the complex. Police locked down the campus and nearby schools during the search for the assailant.
Chesterfield police say evidence at the scene and a review of security footage made them suspicious of Jefferis' story.
The city cannot order her to pay for the manpower needed to investigate the claim, but restitution could be a part of a plea deal.
