St. Louis – A St. Louis police commissioner is accused of inappropriate conduct for contacting police to get his nephew out of jail.

But Vince Bommarito insists he's done nothing wrong. On Saturday, his nephew Christopher Campo was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after attending the Soulard Mardi Gras party.

Bommarito said he did call a police sergeant and ask that his nephew be released. Police took Campo to Tony's restaurant, which Bommarito owns.

Police Chief Dan Isom called the action "highly inappropriate."
