St. Louis, Mo. – St. Louis police are continuing the search for a mentally disabled boy abducted early Wednesday morning in an apparent carjacking.

Police say 9-year-old Christian Ferguson was in the back seat of his father's 1999 Ford Explorer at the corner of Page and Skinker when his father left the car to make a phone call.

The vehicle was then stolen but later recovered in the city of Ferguson, with no trace of the boy.

Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Pollihan is with the St. Louis City Police Department.
"We are currently interviewing several people and following up on several leads; but most importantly, we are focusing our efforts on locating the missing child," Pollihan said.

Christian is four feet tall, 75 pounds and African-American. He was last seen wearing a diaper and wrapped in a red and blue blanket.

Please contact the St. Louis Police Department's Juvenile Division with any information: 314-444-5327 or 314-444-5504.
