St. Louis – The St. Louis County police said Tuesday they seized about 29,000 pirated CDs and three thousand DVDs from a Pagedale flea market on Saturday and arrested three vendors.
Police say the vendors were illegally selling counterfeit and pirated hip hop CDs.
Sergeant Rick Battelle says the vendors had previously received letters from the Recording Industry Association of America telling them they needed to stop their illegal activity.
He says the department is investigating another 13 vendors.
Flea market owner Jack Frison says he was just serving as the landlord. He says his tenants are independent vendors.
