Politically Speaking: House Investigations, Execution Controversy And A Transportation Tax

Every week, St. Louis Public Radio’s Chris McDaniel joins the St. Louis Beacon’s Jo Mannies and Jason Rosenbaum to talk about the week’s politics.

We didn't have a guest on this week's show, so that means we have a chance to discuss some of the topics that have been in the news lately. Jo fills us in on House investigations into Gov. Jay Nixon's administration, and what impact it could have in the upcoming session. Then we discuss the recent controversy over the new secrecy on where Missouri is getting the drugs to carry out executions, and why it matters. We close out the show with Jason filling us in on challenges for a ballot initiative that would increase the state's sales tax for transportation projects.
