Updated 2:32 p.m.:

The St. Louis Cardinals plan to activate Albert Pujols off the disabled list Tuesday, a month ahead of schedule in his recovery from a broken left wrist. The Cardinals have not yet decided whether he will start against
Cincinnati on Tuesday night.

Original Story:

Albert Pujols says he has no pain in his broken left wrist and the St. Louis Cardinals are hoping to get their top slugger back in the lineup sooner than expected -- maybe tonight.

He'll be examined by team doctors today.

When Pujols was injured on June 19, he was expected to be out of action from four to six weeks.
